Dear Sir/Madam,

Bartley Burns building certifiers have provided initial advice for the proposed building work to the Noosa Reef
Hotel located at 37-49 Noosa Drive, Noosa Heads.

As part of the initial advice, it has been determined that the existing tavern and the proposed future works are
required to be protected by a compliant fire hydrant system in accordance with the National Construction
Code 2022 Volume 1 Part E1D2, AS2419.1 and the Queensland Fire Department’s operational requirements.

Following site investigations and testing of the existing fire hydrant system, it was determined the existing system
does not currently achieve compliance with the above-mentioned criteria. It is believed the existing fire hydrant
system will require alterations/rectification works to be undertaken to achieve the required level of compliance.

A suitably qualified hydraulic consultant will be required to confirm how to best achieve compliance.
