There are a few complementary shopping complexes located within the Noosaville Business and Visitor
Mixed Use zones, as follows:

 The Noosa Village Shopping Centre is anchored by a 2,600 sq.m Woolworths supermarket and
     includes 4,300 sq.m of retail floorspace in total.

 The Noosa Homemaker Centre, which consists mainly of homemaker/bulky goods retailers, is
     adjacent to Noosa Village and incorporates some 9,560 sq.m of retail floorspace, including national
     retailers such as Forty Winks, Repco and Rivers as well as food catering establishments such as
     McDonalds and Dominos Pizza. There are additional bulky goods retailers on Gibson Road,
     including Harvey Norman and bathroom showrooms.

 Strip retailing, comprising a large proportion of food and beverage tenancies is located along the
     waterfront at Gympie Terrace and Thomas Street.

A breakdown of retail floorspace categorised by ANZSIC Group is provided below in Chart 4.7. Given the
tenant mix in the Noosa Homemaker Centre and the tenancies located along Gibson Road, the largest
proportion of floorspace belongs to the Furniture, Floor Coverings, Homewares and Textile Retailing
Group (27%). Cafés, restaurants and takeaway food options account for 19% of retail uses, and as
mentioned earlier are located along Gympie Terrace and Thomas Street. As shown in Chart 4.7, the
other key store types in the area are:

    Supermarket and Grocery Stores (constituting 12% of total retail floorspace);

    Clothing, Footwear and Personal Accessory Retailing (7%);

 Specialised Food Retailing (7%); and

 Electrical and Electronic Goods Retailing (6%).

The Noosaville Business Centre is perceived primarily as a place for groceries and errands, benefiting
from a relatively central location within the Noosa suburbs and the inclusion of Dan Murphy’s. However,
most locals acknowledge that Woolworths at Noosa Civic is a noticeably larger store with a better product
range.

There is approximately 15,400 sq.m of non-retail floorspace within the Noosaville Business Centre. The
majority of this floorspace is situated within home offices situated within detached or semi-detached
dwellings along Mary Street and Thomas Street, as well as short term accommodation dwellings along
Gympie Terrace. There is also a selection of offices and suites located above retail stores with street
frontage on Gympie Terrace and Gibson Road.
