                        e   Alternative Location 3 — 1344 Greenridge Pinbarren Road, Pinbarren
                    We advise Council that the minimum necessary height required at Alternative One would be 55m,
                    and the minimum necessary height required at Alternatives Two and Three would be 85m to clear
                    obstructions  including vegetation.  These   heights  are required to make a_      point-to-point
                    transmission link back to the adjoining (and approved) NBN facility at Pomona, to connect
                    Pinbarren back to the main NBN network.

                    Therefore, there is no question of proposing a lower height with a compromised service area —
                    this transmission height requirement represents an absolute technical pass or fail. Either the
                    transmission dish sees the adjoining network facility (to connect the community), or it doesn’t
                    (cutting off the community). Unfortunately a transmission link cannot be made at heights lower
                    than 55m at these alternative locations, and there are no other higher locations west of Pomona
                    Kin Kin Rd that offer elevations which could enable a shorter structure.

                    Please refer to Figures 1 to 3 below for the transmission assessment of the facility heights
                    required for the alternative locations west of Pomona Kin Kin Road. These figures illustrate the
                    terrain and obstruction (trees) limitations blocking a transmission link back to Pomona and
                    provide justification as to why these facility heights are required.
