4 CONSULTATION
4.1 External Consultation
The draft Infrastructure Agreement was reviewed by Sunshine Coast Council’s Solicitor, Graham
Philips, in 2013.
4.2 Internal Consultation
The application was referred to Council’s Infrastructure Charges Officer for comment and
discussed with Council’s Coordinator - Project Design & Delivery.
5 CONCLUSION
The proposed expansion of use areas on the site raises some planning concerns because the
development is unable to provide additional parking spaces to meet the potential demand
increase the additional areas will create. The application was lodged at a time when Council’s
Planning Scheme Policy to accept contributions in lieu of parking provision for development in
Hastings Street was still in place. This Policy is no longer in place but it is considered that there
are grounds to accept contributions for this application.
