2.4       Soil ty pes

The subject site has an Australian Soil Classification (ASC) of Podosol type soil. Podosol Soils are
typically sand soils with low water-holding capacity and often contain a hard layer known as “Coffee
Rock” (QLD Government 2025)

Because of this the pervious areas of the ground level of the site will be taken to have a high soil
permeability.
