SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 8 AUGUST 2017
5. FUTURE DIRECTION
Replacement of the remaining lights throughout the centre with energy efficient LED’s.
Implementation of NLC service review recommendations, including:
- Explore the viability of junior learn to play programs and school holiday programs in
an effort to provide a greater range of programs on offer to the community.
- The condensing of weekly rostered hours, leading to an annual saving of
approximately $15,000. This is scheduled to take effect from July 2017.
- Improved asset management practices, leading to an overall increase in the standard
of the facility.
- Continued improvement of the centre’s aesthetics, bringing its appearance back in
line with customer expectations and competitors’ offerings.
- Development of a long-term plan to combat current car park and pathway issues.
NLC has been working hard to develop a new website and to formalise its social media
presence. Both these projects form part of a suite of strategic marketing initiatives that are
currently under development and will soon be launched to help drive continued revenue
and customer growth.
