    5. Wildlife corridor linkages
The site is predominantly vegetated and has adjoining properties with significant
vegetation being both freehold and crown lands. The site is part then of a wildlife corridor
network and provides a significant area of habitat to facilitate genetic diversity.
The road is a management issue for fauna as this intersects the corridor to the lake and
adjoining crown lands to the south of the property. The site at present is a section of a
large viable remnant that provides habitat and linkages between other remnants. The
property forms part of a wildlife corridor that links crown lands to the National Park. This
linkage provides access to Lake Cootharaba and to the Cooloola National Park. The
continued viability of this site will be dependent on future management of adjoining lands
and the implementation of vegetation controls on private lands. This vegetation
community is a known food source for the grey headed and common blossom bats, with
the Eucalyptus tereticornis being food source for both the Koala and Yellow-bellied
    Glider.
