SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 10 MARCH 2020

Upcoming priorities

The following priorities will be key focuses for management throughout the second half of 2019/20:
 Continued review of operations to identify further opportunities for improvement. This will
include assistance from Council’s Finance team to ensure processes are as efficient as
      possible.
 Work with our Commonwealth funding body on the funding/output ratio for the next
agreement due to commence in July 2020. Recent changes in the broader industry have
made the achievement of some output targets very challenging. Conversely, management
believe there is a good opportunity to better utilise the centre to provide respite care and
achieve a greater number of outputs in this funding stream.
 Continue to pursue closer working relationships across Council in order to leverage existing
      community assets for NCS programs.
 Finalise administration positions across the team.
 Continue to review systems and processes, particularly ways to get more from the centre
      management software or alternative systems.
 Develop and release a tender for a panel of approved contractors for work across various
services within NCS (predominately related to home assistance, maintenance and
      modifications).
 Continue to monitor the funding landscape for changes to ensure NCS can respond swiftly
      and effectively if necessary.
