PLANNING & ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 8 DECEMBER 2020

Council controlled large sites
Council has been working to reduce emissions from electricity purchased from the electricity grid.
Overall there has been a 30% decrease in emissions from Council large sites in 2019/20 compared
to the previous year. Removing the impact of the COVID 19 shut downs results in a 25% reduction
in emissions from the purchased electricity of these sites from the previous year.
Figure 2 shows Council’s total electricity consumption of the Council-owned large sites for each
financial year, to enable comparison for the same month (and season) across the years.
