Noosa Car Parking Study 2017 - 2032
Final Report
6.3.3 Long-Term
There is potential that parking rate maximums in isolation be implemented for key, high density, highly
connected locations within Noosa Shire in the longer term, alongside transferable parking entitlements to give
flexibility for development.
Given the significant uncertainty present in predicting Noosa’s long-term economic development, no
quantification is given around potential parking maximums. It is instead suggested that the market demand for
parking be observed, as is revealed by banded minimum and maximums and options for reducing parking
requirements in the medium term.
