GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 11 JANUARY 2016

Zone 1 involves a larger geographical footprint but requires approximately 250 labour days to
implement. Zone 2 involves a smaller area but is more labour intensive and will require
approximately 500 labour days.

An evaluation team assessed the submitted tenders from eight (8) tenderers which included the
assessment of the equivalent services, plant and equipment. This allowed for a fair evaluation of
all tenderers. A copy of the evaluation spreadsheet is provided at Attachment 1.

The evaluation process identified the tenderer with the highest score being Bushland Conservation
Management and the second highest being Noosa and District Landcare. As a result, the two top
tenderers are being recommended as the successful suppliers for the two zones.

The preferred arrangement is that two local companies be engaged (rather than creating any local
monopoly). Not only does this meet Contracting Principals, but will also allow for the ability to work
concurrently and hence more efficiently.
