5 Conclusion
It is proposed to extend the RACV Noosa Resort to construct Eco-Cabins for short-term
accommodation. The proposed development will consist of eight (8) Cabins and associated
suspended walkways and car parks.

Water Engineering Partners completed a Site Based Stormwater Management Plan to:
x confirm that development could occur without an increase in the peak flow discharged from
the site to Weyba Creek; and
x demonstrate that the quality of stormwater discharged from the site meets best practice
         quality objectives.

The results of the detailed hydrologic and stormwater quality modelling undertaken in support of the
development can be summarised below.

x Stormwater Quantity

The stormwater quantity management strategy consists of the following measures:

o A tank located under the carpark with a volume of 60 m3; and
o 3 kL of the rainwater tank at each Cabin allocated for stormwater peak flow attenuation.

Hydrologic modelling demonstrated that the post-development peak flows from the Site will be
greater than those of the pre-development flow rates.

x Stormwater Quality

The stormwater quality management strategy consists of the following measures:

        o A bioretention basin with a filter area of 50 m2; and
o 5 kL of the rainwater tank at each Cabin allocated for the capture and storage of runoff for
            internal use.

In addition to the above rainwater tank volume, a volume of 2 kL was allowed for the storage of
trickle top-up flows from the mains system. This provides a nominal rainwater tank volume of
10 kL (i.e., 2 kL top up water, 5 kL for collection of roofwater runoff for reuse, and 3 kL for
        detention storage).

Stormwater quality modelling demonstrated that the proposed treatment measures will meet
best practice stormwater quality objectives relevant to the site.
