That Council note the report by the Chief Executive Officer to the General Committee Meeting dated
14 November 2022 and approve the Council Meeting dates for 2023 as set out in Attachment 1 to
the Report with an amendment that the December 2023 meetings be brought forward one week.

Risk & Opportunities
Section 254B of the Local Government Regulation 2012 (the Regulation) requires Council to publish,
at least once per year, a notice of the days and times of its Ordinary meetings and Standing
Committee meetings. Section 257 of the Regulation requires local governments to meet at least
once per month. There is a risk that Council would be in breach of the Regulation if it elected to alter
the frequency of meetings to less than once per month, and/or if it elected not to adopt and publish
an annual meeting schedule.
