3.0      SITE DESCRIPTION
The site is located along Resort Drive, Noosa Heads, north of the existing Noosa Springs Golf & Spa Resort.
The proposed hotel footprint is on the west-facing slope of an approximately north-south trending ridge/dune
line. The ground surface slopes down to the west at about 8 degrees overall, with localised steeper slopes of
about 15 to 20 degrees.
At the time of our investigation, the area was generally covered by natural vegetation with a series of tennis
courts terraced into the slope with various batters and block/rock retaining structures. Disused shed/storage
structures were present in the upper (eastern) portion of the slope, along with a partially cleared area.
General site conditions at the time of our investigation are shown on Photographs 1 and 2 below.
