I understand that the commercial interests in the village benefit
from visitor accommodation and this is a valid consideration
however, for a village the size of Boreen Point we are already
very well catered for in short term accommodation. There are 2
caravan parks a Motel, a Hotel with accommodation and 19
short stay or AirBNB style accommodation.

The success of this application could set a precedent which
could see greater rise in STA’s changing the nature of this
residential village.

While holiday makers bring money to the area so do the
permanent residence who have a vested interest in caring for and
love for this very precious part of the Noosa Shire.
The “Noosa Brand” has been very successful attracting visitors
because of its careful balance of maintaining the environment
and liveability providing people with a unique experience.
Please maintain the balance.
