synonymous with a Noosa look and feel. Built before the
     internet’s public introduction, its design was functional
     for a collection-focused library, but it struggled to meet
     contemporary community needs and meeting space
     standards. A 2016 service review identified the need
     for a major refurbishment which was completed in
     November 2018, adding 80 sq m of community space.


     The Heritage Library is housed within Noosaville
     Library and holds the local heritage and family history
     collections. Resources and services related to the
     heritage of the Noosa area include books, newspapers,
     images, ephemeral material, audio visual material, and
     oral histories. Heritage Noosa hosts digital heritage
     content including an extensive collection of heritage
     images. The Heritage Library attracts residents and
     visitors undertaking research or attending workshops

     Community cultural facilities
     A number of community cultural facilities are maintained
     by Council, with management organisations subsidised
     for their operational activities to activate and enrich the
     spaces. These include:

      — Noosa-Cooroy Heritage Centre (Cooroy-Noosa
          Genealogical & Historical Research Group)
      — Noosa Arts Theatre

      — Pomona Railway Gallery
