“On behalf of Parks and Leisure Australia I sincerely thank you for being part of the national
judging panel for the 2019 Awards of Excellence.
We understand it's a time consuming task and that you have volunteered your time. Without your
commitment and expertise, our Awards of Excellence programme would not be possible.”
Schools Principals Network meeting
“This is an excellent initiative. Schools are an important sector in our community and economy,
and communication with school leaders is key. Plus this brings together people who might
otherwise not meet very often.”
Red Hot Summer Tour
“I would just like to register my appreciation of Council for allowing the recent concert in
Tewantin. Although I have no doubt there was impact for neighbouring residents, the crowd was
orderly and well behaved and the concert organisers did an excellent job. The music stopped just
after 9pm, so was not late night noise for neighbours. I met many people who travelled to Noosa
for the weekend to attend the concert which would have brought income to many local
businesses. I hope that Tewantin will again host such a concert!”

Treasurers Workshop
Just a note of appreciation for the Treasurers workshop you organised. The great attendance
showed how “on the money” the event was (please excuse the pun). There was something for
everyone to learn from and the speakers were all great. Perhaps this could be an annual event
with everyone sharing their experiences as well as learning from experts.
Thanks again - very worthwhile in my opinion.
Come and Try Sports day
“Just a note to say thank you to everyone who was involved in the organising, and managing of
the event at Tewantin yesterday afternoon. It was incredibly well run for the amount of kids there,
and gave the kids a taste of so many different sports. Well done, and thank you for all of your
planning and hard work.”
External Grant recipient
“I would like to say thank you for the one on one session last week. Very helpful, good tips and
motivating. Your assistance to look outside the box was very much appreciated. Fingers
crossed we will be successful with the grants we apply for”
Grant recipient
“On behalf of the Committee, I am writing to express our gratitude to Council for their continued
support over the years and especially recently with a financial contribution to help with
unforeseen complications and extra expenses, which were not included in our budget, which
came after the completion of the building extension.
With Councils help we will be able to pay off our contractors who have just installed two holding
water tanks to satisfy QFES’s water supply requirements. We are also close to attaining a final
Certificate of Completion from the Building Certifier.
We have had to be careful with funds so far but will now be able to purchase some more
equipment to allow us to spread out and more comfortably work within the new space.”
