Job No: ME21/032
Suitable vegetation, plants must be maintained over the batter surfaces. Hydro-mulch or similar
may be considered in steep areas. A qualified and competent landscape consultant or
agronomist should be contacted for further information as required.
All permanent fill batters and any permanent cut batters (not anticipated) must be covered
with suitable vegetation as soon as possible after construction to reduce the potential for
surface scouring, erosion and any possible dispersion.
In areas where the geometry differs from that shown in the models (if encountered), further
assessment may be required. This office should be contacted if in any doubt.
Additional cut or fill earthworks, beyond those shown in the provided section and described in
this report, should not be carried out adjacent to the batter or retaining wall locations assessed
as additional earthworks will affect the global stability of the batters and retaining walls.
The batters and retaining walls must not be undermined. Excavations shall not be carried out
adjacent to the batter or retaining wall toes.
Irrigation of all slopes, other than to establish vegetation, must be restricted as excessive
watering on and behind the slopes can cause saturation, which can result in ground
instability.
If onsite effluent disposal systems are to be used further advice must be sought from a
consultant suitably qualified and competent in this area. Onsite effluent disposal may cause
dispersion and erosion of the soils and more weathered rock at the Site.
Any underground services connections should be flexible.
Underground services must be regularly assessed for leaks and repaired where necessary.
The proposed shed should be founded in a consistent subsurface profile (e.g residual hard
clays or weathered granite/granodiorite rock). Otherwise, suitable articulation should be
designed and constructed between portions of the shed founded in different subsurface profiles
(e.g combination of controlled fill and natural soils or weathered granite/granodiorite rock).
