CLIENT: Permabuild CSI JOB NUMBER: 15928
SITE ADDRESS: Unit 2, 6 Martin St, Peregian Beach DATE TESTED: 28/03/2024
TEST METHOD: Hydraulic Rig TESTED BY: BAC
                                                                           GUIDED BY AS2870-2011

VEGETATION: Established lawns and gardens. Large trees.
TOPOGRAPHY: Hilly area. Sand dunes. Fill and sloping block. Good drainage.
STRATA SUMMARY: Sand fill over natural sand.
CROSS FALL: 2-7%
COMMENTS: Boreholes located where accessible and to minimise risk to underground services.

In accordance with AS2870-2011 and based on the field information at the time of the investigation carried out on
the above address,

The site has been classified as an “S” Classification 0mm < Ys <= 20mm, if the construction is founded into
a natural stratum with a bearing capacity that is greater or equal to 100 kpa, with no underlying soft layers, or to
an allowable bearing capacity as specified by a qualified Geotechnical and/or Structural Engineer.
If these conditions are not met the site would be classified as a Class “P”, due to
     • layers of soil with an indicative bearing capacity of < 50 kpa
     • layers of uncontrolled sand fill > 800mm
This classification is based on a fill certificate not being available, however if a fill certificate can be supplied
please contact CSI Soil Testing who may be able to re-classify the site.

The design engineer should be aware:
   • That there are trees on or near the site and that they may have an effect on the performance of the
footings/slab, whilst in place and after removal. The design engineer should take all considerations and
       satisfy themselves in this regard.
   • Of the potential differential swelling and settlement possible when attaching a new construction to an
existing structure and that this may have an effect on the performance of the footings/slab. The design
engineer should take all considerations and satisfy themselves in this regard.

This site classification is for the design of a footing system for a single dwelling house, townhouse or similar
structures as specified in AS2870-2011.

This report is a site classification and does not constitute a Geotechnical Engineers assessment and/or slope
stability assessment, if the owner/builder/local authority/structural engineer deems it necessary for a full
geotechnical assessment and/or slope stability assessment to be done, a specialist Geo-technical engineer will
need to be consulted.

This report does not constitute a mine shaft subsidence assessment. If the local authority deems it necessary,
application to the Department of Mines and Energy is necessary for a specific site report.
