SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 11 OCTOBER 2022
The gross value of tickets sold in 2021/22 was back to pre-covid levels, highlighting a strong
return for the entertainment industry. However, there was still some disruption in and around
the pandemic, with $141,387.45 in ticket sales refunded due to the impacts of Covid.
Tracking the cost per visit, both for operational cost (exclusive of depreciation and internal
charges) and total cost, can be an effective way to gauge efficiency of service delivery over
time. The above chart clearly shows the impact of reduced attendance on this metric over the
past three Covid-affected years.
4. STAFFING
The J’s small team continues to work well, running the centre in a highly efficient manner,
particularly when compared to other similar venues with larger teams. The J Coordinator
completed a 3-month acting role as Community Facilities Manager at the end of 2021 to assist
in maintaining business continuity for the branch until this role was filled.
