GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 12 AUGUST 2019
Risks & Opportunities
The Transport Strategy provides guidance for the next 10 years on addressing the transport
challenges faced in the Noosa Shire. Inadequate resourcing of the Strategy may result in delays
to effective implementation of the key behaviour change initiatives.
The new resource will focus on schools and community behaviour change initiatives allowing the
existing resources to focus on the other high level Transport Strategy initiatives e.g. public
transport network review, Mobility as a Service (MaaS), Go Noosa – Xmas & Easter, Go Noosa
App development, car parking management controls etc.
It is anticipated that this position would work in partnership with other departments in Council
including but not limited to: Community Development, Libraries, Environment and Sustainable
Development and Community Engagement.
