2.3.         Refuse Storage
Separate storage areas are provided for the residential component as well as the commercial tenancy.
Communal residential bins will be stored within the designated bunded refuse storage point, located within
the basement, behind the secure line and adjoining carpark 01. The residential refuse storage area is
designed to be accessible to residents, building management and the collecting contractor only.

The commercial refuse storage area is located within an enclosure within the services area of the tenancy.
The commercial refuse storage area is designed to be accessible to tenancy staff only.

Bin washing amenity is provided for both storage areas. The floor of the residential refuse storage area
bunded and graded to fall to a sewer connected drainage point. A hose cock and sewer connected drainage
point will also be provided for the commercial refuse storage area.

Each refuse storage area is sufficiently sized to accommodate the bins required for each component as
outlined in Table 2.4, with sufficient clearances for access and bin manoeuvring.

Figure 2.1 shows a potential layout configuration for the residential refuse storage area. The configuration
and size of the refuse room is provided to ensure all bins are readily accessible to residents.

Figure 2.2 depicts the potential configuration or the non-residential refuse storage enclosure.
