5 I NFORMATION R EQUEST R ESPONSE 06/2025
Consult Arborist was requested to undertake a review of the updated proposed Westera
Partners construction plans in relation to the lower floor slab and footings plan. This plan
illustrates the piling that would be used to create the footings for the building.
5.1 TREE 1
Tree 1 is adjacent to the driveway adjacent to the garage door and was originally proposed to
be retained by the project, with consideration given to its protection during the construction
phase. This is no longer achievable due to the updated construction plans requiring continuous
piles to create the foundation support.
To enable the constructability of the piling design, the retention of Tree 1 is not possible due
to direct conflict with the tree’s structural root zone.
5.2 TREE 25
Tree 25 is located at the rear of the property within the Environmental Management
Conservation Easement. This tree is still proposed to be retained with the current piling design
that is required to support the pool not deemed as a major intrusion warranting the tree’s
removal.
Tree protection measures will be implemented to promote the tree’s protection and retention.
