2.2 Surrounding Development

Several private boat lifting devices of various configurations exist within proximity to the subject site as
demonstrated in Figures 2-3. These boat storage devices are of a similar, if not larger, configuration than
the Sea Pen proposed for the existing approved jetty at the subject site. The aerial photographs
demonstrate that the proposed new boat lifting device is consistent with the amenity and character of
the development within the canal estate.
