Unitywater
7. Connection to Unitywater live water mains and the Unitywater live sewer system
must be undertaken by Unitywater at the applicant’s cost.
8. A 150mm diameter watermain is located within the road boundary fronting the
development site in David Low Way. Construction works, heavy traffic crossing
the main, excessive vibration and excavation close to the main may cause
damage to the pipe. Extreme care is required when working close to this
infrastructure. All costs associated with repair, replacement or alteration of
infrastructure must be met by the applicant.
B. Find the following are sufficient grounds to justify the decision despite the conflict with
the Planning Scheme:
1. The proposed small low cost permanent and visitor accommodation provides
housing diversity ideally located in close proximity to the Peregian Beach
neighbourhood centre and other social infrastructure.
2. The building design is a well-articulated coastal building style that presents as
domestic scale and integrates well with development in the surrounding area.
3. The development allows sufficient separation between buildings, neighbouring
properties and adequate area for soft landscaping, outdoor recreation and
clothes drying areas.
4. The site has been historically used for visitor accommodation.
