A thick pure wool blanket or textured fibreglass blanket which should be big enough
to cover you completely when crouched or lying down. A fire stop blanket pack,
which is designed for wrapping around people whose clothes are on fire and which
can also be used to smother small fires, is useful inside the building. A nose cover,
such as a scarf, large handkerchief or nappy, or a smoke-filtering mask.
Goggles and a demisting stick. If you can’t obtain wide vision vented goggles, then
wrap around sunglasses will be better than nothing.
First Aid
Ensure a quality well stocked first aid kit is available.
