HIGHLIGHTS

     SOCIAL MEDIA

Visit Noosa’s social media platforms were all about growth and
engagement and they collectively trended upwards significantly.

Our Instagram community grew a whopping 19.8K in followers,
reaching a total following of 95.6K for the year. Comparing year
on year this saw a 133% growth rate over the platform. The
account reached over 56% more people year on year hitting
a total of 7.2M people throughout the 12months.

Facebook also grew with a 6.6% increase in follower
growth hitting 50.1K. The more impressive growth was
in regard to profile reach that saw a 295% increase
year on year, reaching 3M people. Post engagement
also saw great improvements with a 297% growth in
     engagement across the platform.

We also saw some great shareability with our social
content being included on major tourism accounts
such as Tourism and Events Queensland and Tourism
Australia. This assisted in Visit Noosa’s visibility in the
digital space. Tourism Australia also approached us
to feature in their newest Instagram story strategy
“Choose your own adventure” showcasing two
destination activities up for vote to track follower
trends. This feature saw 3.2million impressions with an
85% retention rate and saw over 7.2K click-throughs
to our Visit Noosa Instagram page. This was the best
performing feature across the series out of the first
five destinations featured including Uluru, Tasmania,
     Brisbane and Margaret River.
