5.0 Conclusion This report provides the results of a protected plants flora survey of the proposed development at 327 Kinmond Creek Road, Cootharaba and has been undertaken to determine whether the project is likely to have any significant impacts on listed Endangered, Vulnerable, Threatened or Near Threatened (EVNT) flora species and communities. This report is deemed to satisfy requirements of the DES Protected Plants Assessment Guidelines and Flora Survey Guidelines – Protected Plants (DES, 2019). While two species - Xanthostemon oppositifolius and Rhodamnia rubescens - were found within the property but they are located more than 100m away from the proposed dwelling and will not be impacted by the proposed development. These species were not found as part of the 100m survey transect but as part of further ecological assessment undertaken across the whole property. By implementing key recommendations designed to minimise general impacts to flora and fauna and to ensure the long-term retention of retained vegetation and ecological communities (refer to mitigation measures outlined in Section 4.2), it is considered that the proposed development does not significantly adversely impact flora species and communities.
