Implementation of Council’s Asset Management Policy and responsibility for all
asset management decision-making rests with the Asset Management Steering
Committee (AMSC). The AMSC will provide direction to the Asset Management
Coordination Team, whose role will be to manage the individual Asset
Management Work Teams. The Asset Management Work Teams comprise
Council staff with appropriate Policy, ICT, Process or Asset knowledge, sourced
from various Council Business Areas. The Asset Management Branch facilitates
all levels of the Asset Management Governance structure.
While Council’s Asset Management System is being developed, the Asset
Management Work Teams may be tasked with implementation of the Asset
Management Improvement Plan initiatives. In the longer-term responsibility for
various Asset Management Framework deliverables may be transferred to these
Teams. The annual branch plans and asset management road map identifies the
asset management initiatives and performance targets in delivering asset
management across Council on a cyclic basis.
