SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 12 SEPTEMBER 2017
Results
The results show that the sense of wellbeing of Noosa residents exceeded that of regional
Australia and Queensland in the following areas:
Personal Wellbeing
Community Wellbeing
Personal Financial Wellbeing
Health Wellbeing
Community Wellbeing
Social Connectedness
Access to Services
Landscape and Aesthetics
Perceived Environmental Heath
The only area where Noosa fell behind was in our perceptions of crime and safety.
It should be emphasised that these are perceptions only. See Attachment 1 - Noosa Results for
Regional Wellbeing Survey 2016 for full results.
Where to From Here
While the comparisons between Noosa and regional Australia and Queensland are insightful, the
value of this data is in its ability to provide a baseline for further comparisons of Noosa residents’
sense of wellbeing, as the survey is performed annually. It is suggested that these results be
used as a mechanism to engage the Noosa community in participating in the survey again next
year and in subsequent years, with numbers of participants growing as community awareness of
the survey grows. The next survey is planned to be delivered in November 2017.
