groups, local businesses and assocations. A community pop up was planned for the Pomona
Markets to showcase the concept upgrade plan alongside the Noosa Biosphere Trails
Implementation plan however due to covid restricitions this was cancelled. The information has
since been included on Noosa Council’s Trails webpage accompanied by a Facebook post.
A media realease is planned to coincide with the Design and Construct Contract Tender award
providing information on trail closures, construction program and an update on the Noosa
Biosphere Trail Masterplan Implementation. Trail 5 will generally be closed to the public for the
duration of construction, which is forecast from mid September through to mid December. The
Contractor will ensure all planned events (such as the Great Noosa Trail Walk) will have full
access to the trail network and will be able to utilise the trail alignment in a safe manner.

The planning phase of the project includied internal consultation with a project control group
which included appointed Councillors.
