1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 PURPOSE AND SCOPE
This purpose of this Traffic Management Plan (TMP) is to outline how the planned Construction works can be completed whilst
minimising impact to road users, pedestrians and local business traffic.
This plan was created for BBN Constructions, 65-67 Elanda St construction project, located at 65-67 Elanda St, Sunshine Beach.
By Miles Planning House (MPH) And shall be referred to in this TMP as Project: BBN-ELANDA-SB-UD-01
The TMP includes a summary of known constraints, option analysis, staging of works, Traffic guidance schemes (TGS), reporting
requirements, emergency management and other available information relevant to the proposed works.
MPH has been engaged by the Principal Contractor BBN Constructions to act as the Traffic Management Designer.
BBN CONSTRUCTIONS have been appointed as Principal Contractor for this works.
The Road Infrastructure Manager/ Road Asset owner is Noosa Shire Council (NSC).
The scope of this plan is limited to the Traffic Management for the BBN-ELANDA-SB-UD-01works and is part of required works
management documentation. It shall be read and applied in conjunction with all other approvals, plans and requirements
pertaining to the BBN-ELANDA-SB-UD-01project.
The scope of this plan is limited to local traffic management only, any movements within the Works exclusion zone to be
considered the responsibility of BBN CONSTRUCTIONS.
1.2 TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT OBJECTIVES
This TMPs objective is to provide a safe working environment for the duration of works whilst also maintaining a safe
environment for all road users. This includes vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and disabled members of the public, as well as
maintaining access for local businesses.
This TMP also aims to minimise disruption and delays to the road network.
This TMP will achieve this objective by:
➢ Identifying the required information required to develop a comprehensive plan for the traffic management around the
BBN-ELANDA-SB-UD-01works.
➢ Performing a sufficient option analysis to determine the best solution encompassing all work aspects and phases.
➢ Completion of a detailed risk assessment identifying and controlling foreseeable risks.
➢ Creating a plan which meets the requirements of and is communicated and agreed to by all relevant stakeholders.
➢ Creating an efficient plan that can be implemented successfully.
