Tenant Overview: Fireball International Pty Ltd
The systems developed by Fireball use satellites and sensors on towers to detect fires when they are
still very small and much easier to extinguish. Fireball’s early fire detection system is fusing satellite
images with ground-based sensor detections for near-immediate discovery and management of fires.
Firefighters can gain control quickly with early and more aggressive attacks.
Tenant Assessment Criteria
Commercial Terms 18/20 The commercial lease terms provide an increase on the
previously obtained tenancy rental while providing a fair
and competitive accommodation solution for the tenant.
The rental rate offered is higher than most Sunshine
Coast commercial office space on “face-value”
however the ancillary benefits provided to the tenant
well-justify the higher rental rate as the entire deal
represents excellent value for money.
The “rent free incentive” is consistent with current
market incentives for office space.
Business Track Record 20/20 Fireball has established itself as a leader in bushfire
prevention and already has successfully operating
contracts with the Californian government.
The directors of Fireball International have also
established other successful, globally recognised,
ground-breaking “tech” businesses including NEORA
(which assists with the identification and mining of
asteroids).
Capability and Resources 20/20 Although | have not seen the financial position of the
proposed tenant, | have little doubt that they will have
difficulty meeting the financial requirements of the
office.
Suitability & Compatibility 20/20 A growing international company, that was founded in
Peregian and is solving a global environmental problem
could not be a better fit for the data hub. The directors
of the company have experience working with large
organisations such as universities and municipalities as
well as smaller, faster-moving firms and | am confident
their culture will be compatible with that of the Hub.
Contribution to Local Economy 17/20 In addition to the international exposure offered to local
staff, Fireball are a significant player in global fire
prevention and will be a key part of the FireTech 2020
program which will attract other fire-related tech
businesses to the area for the 8 week program.
Total Assessment 95/100 __It is the opinion of Colliers International that Fireball are
an excellent fit for the Peregian Digital Hub.
