                               ACTIONS REQUIRED FOR “SELF - EVACUATE”

                               Action 1:
                               If you choose to evacuate to a safer place, you must make a plan to ensure you:-

                                   •   Evacuate at the right time (i.e. BEFORE Lake Weyba Drive is covered by flood water to the
                                       north of 135 Lake Weyba Drive);
                                   •   Have secured your house;
                                   •   Travel on a pre-determined evacuation route (considering many roads may be flooded); and
                                   •   Have secured alternative accommodation.

                               You should consider the following:

                                   •   Have you packed an evacuation kit?
                                   •   Have you packed emergency food and water supplies?
                                   •   Have you packed important documents and valuables?
                                   •   Have you turned off the power, gas and water mains to your home?
                                   •   Are your pets safe and secure?
                                   •   Have you secured and locked your home?
                                   •   Have you checked on your neighbours who may be elderly or disabled?


                               Action 2:
                               Prior to leaving your house check that you have packed emergency food and water supplies and your
                               evacuation kit.

                               Your evacuation kit should include the following items:
