Engineering Roads Report (Traffic)
Noosa Fair and Bowls Club Redevelopment

4.4.2 Shared Parking Demands
The peak parking demands for all uses will occur at different times of the day. For example, the
existing land use for the Noosa Civic Shopping Centre is dominated by the Coles supermarket with
the peak parking demand occurring midday to the afternoon during a weekday. Residential
parking demands generally peak in the evenings and weekends, as with taverns and the bulk
liquor store. The resulting nature of the redevelopment is therefore unlikely to result in peak
parking demands for all uses occurring at the same time. It is noted that this methodology is
compliant with Performance Outcome 15 in the draft SCPS.
TTM have undertaken a parking demand analysis of the uses within the redevelopment area. The
parking demand of each use is based on demand profiles found at similar sites. It is noted that the
Saturday parking demand is significantly lower than the Thursday parking demand. This is due to
the lack of demand from commercial uses and a much lower demand from the existing shopping
centre.
The individual demand profiles are available upon request, with the overall parking demand
profile on a Thursday for each stage of the development shown graphically in Figures 4.2 and 4.3.
