Figure 4.3: Parking Demand Profile for Noosa Fair Redevelopment – Stage 2
The result of this parking demand analysis is that the redevelopment should provide 507 spaces
with Stage 1 and 567 spaces with Stage 2.
4.5 Proposed Parking Supply and Adequacy
4.5.1 Stage 1
The proposed redevelopment will provide a total of 617 parking spaces. This includes the removal
of 21 parking spaces along the northern side of the shopping centre car park. This parking supply
is approximately 2% less than the parking requirements in the Noosa Plan. This parking supply,
however, is greater than parking rates in the draft SCPS, surveys and parking demand analysis
implies.
The proposed parking supply is considered suitable as it exceeds the anticipated parking demands
generated by all uses.
4.5.2 Stage 2
The proposed redevelopment will provide a total of 622 parking spaces. This includes the removal
of 79 spaces and reinstatement of 84 spaces in the commercial and residential lots. This parking
supply is less than the parking requirements in the Noosa Plan (15%), and the draft SCPS (5%).
This parking supply, however, is generally in accordance with surveyed parking demands and
greater than shared parking demand analysis implies (10%). TTM note construction related
activity is not expected to significantly impact on parking availability.
The proposed parking supply is considered suitable as it exceeds the anticipated parking demands
generated by all uses.
