3. CONCLUSION
This report has outlined a conceptual framework of stormwater quality management strategies to be
incorporated into the redevelopment of the subject site. It has been demonstrated though MUSIC
modelling how water quality objectives for the subject site will be achieved prior to discharging
stormwater from the site. A strategy for dealing with hydrocarbons has also been developed and
outlined within this report and attached appendices.
An Operational Management and Maintenance Manual has been developed for the proposed
stormwater quality improvement devices used with the treatment train and is attached to this
Report as Appendix C. A copy of the Manual should be provided to the developer, building
contractor and operational site manager.
It is envisaged that this report will set the framework for the detailed design and operational works
stages of the redevelopment of the subject site.
It is also reiterated that the existing site, including the service station and car hire outlet, currently
has no underground drainage infrastructure or environmental controls for stormwater quality
discharging from the site. The development proposal would therefore be of a significant net
benefit to the surrounding environment, including Weyba Creek and the Noosa River.
