diverted from driveway driveway will be sealed prior to the commencement of the use by the
applicant. Stormwater from the sealed driveway will be appropriately
directed as to not negatively impact the surrounding properties.
• A portion of the existing unsealed driveway will be sealed prior to the
commencement of the use by the applicant.
• The intensity of vehicle movements with Short-term Accommodation
will be less than a household occupied 100% of the time. Historical
Deterioration of driveway
data would see a STA property used approx. 65% of the time, hence
far less vehicle movements than a normal household. Thus, the
potential impact on the driveway by the proposed Short-term
Accommodation use is significantly reduced.
• The existing dwelling and proposed Short-term Accommodation use
contains a two-car garage. The existing garage and driveway is
made available for guests and has the capacity to park 6 vehicles.
Carparking on driveway
• The proposal complies with the requirements of the Driveways and
Parking Code as the existing dwelling has sufficient covered and
uncovered parking spaces for the use of residents and visitors alike.

In summary, the concerns raised by the submissions against the development are either:
• not relevant to the proposed Short-term Accommodation use (line of sight); or
• not a result of the proposed Short-term Accommodation (deterioration of existing driveway).
It is recommended Council support the proposed Short-term Accommodation use as:
• The strategic framework and outcomes identify the importance of tourism in Noosa Shire and are
