The Capital Works Schedule (CWS) has been rolled out with further advancements over the
coming months. The CWS is enabling improved control and reporting on the delivery of the
Capital Works Program, with particular advantages in forecasting and early identification of
issues.
Project managers across the organisation are become more familiar with the CWS and the
benefits of this project control system are expected to grow as project managers enhance
utilisation of this system to manage delivery of their capital works projects.

Summary

The Infrastructure Services Department is continuing to address staffing shortages with
recruitment underway for a Design Project Officer, Graduate Transport & Traffic Officer and
Transport and Traffic Coordinator.


The 2023/24 capital works program commitments total $10.8m. Large volumes of planning,
design and delivery activities continue to be undertaken in support of the capital works program
which includes unprecedented amounts of grant funding and delivery of disaster recovery
works.
