RECOMMENDATION
That Council note the report by the Cultural Development Officer to the Infrastructure & Services
Committee Meeting dated 8 December 2015 and approve the Regional Arts Development Fund
(RADF) recommendations for the August – September round 2015/16 as set out in Attachment 1
to the report.


REPORT
Purpose
The purpose of this report is for Council to consider and endorse the RADF recommendations for
the August – September round as set out in Attachment 1 to this report.

Background
The RADF supports cultural activity through the professional development and employment of arts
and cultural workers in regional Queensland. RADF is a partnership between State Government,
through Arts Queensland, and Noosa Council.

The Noosa RADF Committee is made up of one Councillor, four external professional arts industry
representatives and Council officers in supporting roles.

The current RADF Committee comprises:
                       Cr Frank Wilkie (Chair)
                       Janet Brimson
                       Joel Harris
                       Judy Barrass
                       Annette Hughes

The Noosa Council budget for 2015/16 provides funds for two RADF funding rounds in September
2015 and March 2016.

Five applications were received by the closing date (12 noon - 30 September 2015). One
application was subsequently withdrawn. The total value of funds requested was $25,540.
