INFRASTRUCTURE & SERVICES COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 8 DECEMBER 2015
Following the closure of the current funding round applications were assessed using the following
process:
Applications were first checked for eligibility against the Noosa Council Grants policy and RADF
guidelines;
The applications were then discussed by the RADF Committee;
Prior to making a final decision on this round of applications the Committee requested further
information on a number of applications; and
Once this information had been received the grants were assessed.
As per the Noosa Council Grants Policy, Committee members declared any actual or perceived
conflicts of interest and following any such declaration the panel members were not involved in any
discussions on matters relating to that application.
Committee Recommendations
Three applications are recommended for funding, totaling $19,824. The projects recommended for
funding are considered to provide excellent quality and diversity, and will employ quality artists and
arts workers who will engage in valuable arts and cultural activities across the region.
The detail of recommended outcomes is at Attachment 1.
Implementation
Following endorsement of this report, grant applicants will be notified of the outcomes. Funding to
successful applicants will be distributed in December 2015 providing they have no outstanding
debt to Council and meet any conditions of funding.
Previous Council Consideration
RADF Funding has been supported and administered by Noosa Council since 1996. Noosa
Council delivered their first RADF round in March 2014 for projects starting after June 30, 2014
and this is the fourth round of RADF grants since de-amalgamation. Noosa Council has funding in
its 2015/16 budget for two funding rounds, with another available in March 2016.
Finance & Risk
The RADF program is jointly funded on a 50:50 basis by the State Government (Arts Qld) and
Noosa Council. Traditionally, two funding rounds are run each financial year.
The 2015/2016 budget has funds allocated for two RADF grant rounds. This is the first grant round
in the 2015/16 financial year and there will be a second grant round in March 2016. The total
available amount for each of these grant rounds is $25,000.
There are no risk implications.
