(O7d) provide actively regenerating koala habitat. Areas dedicated as a Park provide opportunities to
accommodate actively regenerating koala habitat.
Specific Outcome O11 The development footprint has been reduced and building location envelopes have been introduced in
Habitat trees order to increase vegetation protection. The proposed development layout retains all areas of remnant in
addition to tracts of regrowth vegetation within ~82% of the site. Natural resources are further considered
O11 Habitat trees (including dead trees) and recruitment by way of maintaining ecological processes including wildlife connectivity. Condition 45 that provides,
habitat trees are protected for native fauna habitat, where among other things, no clearing of native vegetation including Old Growth “Habitat Trees” (i.e. trees with
practicable. hollow branches and limbs) is permitted during subdivision construction without the prior written approval of
Council’s Environmental delegate can be updated to further address habitat trees.
Specific Outcome O16 The proposed development layout retains all areas of remnant in addition to tracts of regrowth vegetation
Replanting and rehabilitation within ~82% of the site that is dedicated as a park or under covenant. The remaining ~18% to be
developed supports either grasses or regrowth vegetation. Ecologically important areas can be restored
O16 Development provides for ecologically important areas and enhanced by way of the design and conditions of approval. Natural resources are further considered
to be restored and enhanced through the following by way of maintaining ecological processes including wildlife connectivity and further addressed through
measures- the conditions of approval including:

replacement vegetation of local origin. Condition 49 requires the reuse of cleared vegetation as habitat features in rehabilitation areas.
Condition 50 requires that an arboreal fauna crossing must be provide in the form of a rope bridge on
Hollett Road adjacent to Lot 10.
These conditions require updating to reflect the reduced yield and consequential lot renumbering.
Specific Outcome O17 With reference to maintenance and enhancement of biodiversity (O17a) and minimising threat of fire to the
Fire management measures are adopted based on natural environment (O17b in part) the revised layout has been prepared in a manner than includes
ecological principles, which— appropriate fire management measures that maintain biodiversity.
a) maintain and enhance biodiversity;
b) minimise threat of fire to the natural environment, life
and property; and
c) provide for effective use and maintenance of buildings
and structures.
