                 Total Landfill Recycled

The information shows that diversion rates for 2015 are slightly lower than for the previous year.
There is more waste to landfill this year compared with 2014 with less of the waste received
being recyclable. No changes have been made to the recycling of materials received. The
reduction in diversion rates is attributed to uncontrollable factors such as the percentage of
recyclable material received in the waste stream at the landfill. The downturn in the construction
industry may have influenced the lower diversion rate as a high proportion of construction and
demolition waste is recycled.
