— The at-grade spaces are generally for Class 1A employee parking and short-term visitors which have a parking space requirement of 2.4 metres wide, 5.4 metres long accessed by an aisle width of 5.8 metres. All parking spaces are dimensioned at 2.6 metres wide (in excess of 2.4 metres wide) and with 5.4 metres long accessed by an aisle width of at least 6.0 metres wide. This combination exceeds the minimum requirement as stipulated within the AS2890.1. e Itis unclear how vehicles will enter/exit the highlighted carparks below. Vehicle swept paths have not been provided demonstrating how a B99 vehicle can enter and exit these carparks. In accordance with AS2890.1, access to car parking spaces is to be undertaken using the B85 (85th percentile car). Notwithstanding, the B99 swept path assessment has been provided within Appendix A that shows the highlighted car parking spaces can be accessed (ingress and egress) with a B99 vehicle. ¢ Council has concerns with the ability for vehicles accessing the “blind aisle” in front of “micro warehouse 1 - micro warehouse 7” to manoeuvre and exit the aisle. The proposed reversing manoeuvre appears to be lengthy with limited visibility. The swept paths have been updated based on the amended plans which demonstrate that the SRV can turn around with the space provided outside Warehouses 5 and 6. The updated swept paths are provided in Appendix A. e Any changes to the proposed carparking layout must achieve a minimum, unobstructed aisle width in accordance with Table 1.1 and Figure 2.2 of AS2890.01. All car spaces have been designed with a minimum of 6.0 metres aisle width which is in excess of Table 1.1 and Figure 2.2 of AS2890.1 and therefore considered satisfactory. ¢ Council has concerns for the potential of conflicts between vehicles and pedestrians on the access ramps/driveways. The width does not appear to provide sufficient width for two-way traffic and pedestrians. The proposed accessway is a shared accessway between the vehicles and pedestrians. Notwithstanding, it is recommended to provide convex mirrors along the accessway to the lower level at each bend to facilitate sightlines. Additionally, the AS2890.1 also stipulates that the provision of a two-way accessway is required to a minimum width of 5.5 metres. All accessways are provided with at least 6.0 metres in width and are appropriate for two-way traffic. Information Required 6. Additional detail must be prepared by a suitably qualified person and include, but not be limited to: a. the removal of all tandem carparks. b. vehicle swept paths demonstrating a B99 vehicle is capable of entering and exiting the proposed carparks highlighted above. The swept paths must assume neighbouring carparks are occupied, include realistic start and end positions and be done in no more than 3 total movements. As discussed previously, no tandem car parking is provided. An assessment of the highlighted spaces using B99 vehicles has been undertaken with neighbouring carparks occupied. It is noted that this exceeds the requirements of AS2890.1 which specifies the use of a B85 vehicle when reviewing access to the car spaces. Notwithstanding this, the swept paths demonstrate that the B99 vehicle can access all critical car spaces ina suitable manner and are shown in Appendix A in no more than 3 total movements. 20755T-LETO2-F01 PS newoo'o!es
