The sight distance for the “exit only” access to the west (veh travelling south on Elm St and turning left onto Opal St) does not comply with Austroad’s Guide to Road Design, SISD and MGSD requirements or AS2890.1 minimum SSD requirements. The current sight distance from the exit only access to the vehicles travelling south on Elm St is restricted by the low vegetation associated with the existing street tree. The available sight distance can be increased if this lower vegetation were pruned. Furthermore, Section 3.4 - Sight Distances at Property Entrances from Part 4A of Austroad’s Guide to Road Design states that the Extended Design Domain (EDD) criteria can be used for SISD for 360 Civil Consulting - Traffic Assessment Page 8 of 22
