Relevant Fees
IMPACT – Retail Business Type 2 (up to 800m2) - $6,557.00 + (440 x 8 = $3,520.00) = $10,077 x 3 (inconsistent multiplier) = $30,231.00
IMPACT – Multiple Housing Type 4 (2 small dwelling units) - $2,714.00
CODE – Boundary Realignment - $2,569.00

Total = $35,514.00

Fee Request
The site has been identified within the recent Planning Scheme Policy to be considered like a ‘Business Centre zone’ site for contributions in lieu. Prelodgement advice has also recognised Council as being generally supportive of the proposed use on the site and the three times inconsistent multiplier should not be applied in this instance.

IMPACT – Retail Business Type 2 (up to 800m2) - $6,557.00 + (440 x 8 = $3,520.00) = $10,077
IMPACT – Multiple Housing Type 4 (2 small dwelling units) - $2,714.00
CODE – Boundary Realignment - $2,569.00

Total = $15,360

In this regard, it is recommended the Director of Environment and Sustainable Development use their delegated authority to determine to partially waive the strict application of the scheduled fee as it is obviously unreasonable for the type of application being received (as per 2018/19 Fees & Charges Register).

Please can you send the relevant application fee to Ron McCarthy ([email protected])<mailto:[email protected]> with myself as CC.

If you require any additional information or plans, please do not hesitate to contact me.
