RECOMMENDATION

That Council note the report by the Administration Officer, Executive to the Planning &
Organisation Committee dated 25 March 2014 and:
A.   Establish a Performance Review Committee for the purpose of conducting the annual
     performance appraisals of the CEO and Directors, with membership comprising the Mayor
     (Chair) and Cr <**>, and the relevant Committee Chairs for the performance appraisals of
     the Directors;
B.   Appoint Cr Bob Abbot as Chair, and Councillors Noel Playford and Tony Wellington as
     Deputy Chairs of the Local Disaster Management Group;
C.    Note Council’s membership of the Council of Mayors (SEQ) until 30 June 2014;
D.    Appoint Cr Frank Wilkie as Council’s representative on Tourism Noosa; and
E.    Appoint Cr Bob Abbot as Council’s representative on the Roads and Transport Alliance.



REPORT

The purpose of this report is to:

1.    Establish a Performance Review Committee;
2.    Formally endorse the appointment of Councillors to the Disaster Management Committee;
3.    Advise of Council’s interim membership of the Council of Mayors (SEQ); and
4.    Seek the nomination and endorsement of Councillor representatives to two external
      organisations


1.    Performance Review Committee

The Employment Contract of Noosa Council’s Chief Executive Officer prescribes that:

The Officer’s performance shall be reviewed annually, no later than one month after each
anniversary of the date of commencement, by a Sub-Committee of the Council appointed for that
purpose comprising the Mayor, and subject to the Mayor’s agreement, at least one Councillor
(‘Performance Review Committee’)
