         The disturbed area within the centre of the site supported a number of invasive grasses,
         with Setaria sphacelata (South African pigeon grass), Chloris gayana (Rhodes grass), Andropogon
         virginicus (whisky grass) and Urochloa decumbens (signal grass) common within the location of
         the historical extractive industry. Regrowth of native plants such as Acacia disparrima (hickory
         wattle) and Alphitonia excelsa (soapy ash) were also common.

         Photographs showing regrowth of native species and various weeds in the previously cleared area
         within the centre of the property, and the area subject to development, are shown as Plate 9 and
         Plate 10.

         The Biosecurity Act 2014 requires everyone to take all reasonable and practical steps to minimise
         the risks associated with invasive plants under their control. Management of weeds is required to
         be undertaken in accordance with Council’s biosecurity plan and the Department of Agriculture
         and Fisheries pest fact sheets.
