Consultation
External Consultation - Community & Stakeholder
As part of the feedback sessions with unsuccessful tenderers from the previous tender
1617T062, Council staff enquired as to the appropriateness of the procurement process that
included an Expression of Interest. The response from industry is that shortlisting through an EOI
process provides a reasonable balance between tender effort and probability of being shortlisted.
The project’s complexity under the former procurement model may have deterred a number of
contractors who were not willing to dedicate the resources for submitting a fully priced tender.
Internal Consultation
Tender result presented to Councillors and Leadership Team on 9 May 2017.
The proposed procurement strategy has been developed in consultation with the
Procurement section, and considering contractor tender feedback.
