CONCLUSION & RECOMMENDATIONS JFP Urban Consultants Pty Ltd has prepared this Site Based Stormwater Management Plan for the proposed development at 36 & 38 Duke Street, Sunshine Beach. The analyses presented in this report achieve the following outcomes: The outcomes of the stormwater analyses are: The proposed lawful point of discharge is the kerb & channel on Duke Street and 1% AEP discharge is 25L/s. On-site detention is proposed. The 1% AEP detention volume is 12.9m³. Douglas Lane has adequate capacity to convey 1% AEP external catchment flows so they do not enter the site. Erosion & sediment control measures are to be finalised during detailed design and incorporated in the construction phase. As the site area is less than 2500m² the development does not trigger the State Planning Policy (2017) for operational phase stormwater quality management and therefore stormwater quality treatment devices such as bioretention is not required. However, the site’s internal drainage system and the landscaping areas will provide some level of stormwater quality treatment, particularly for the gross pollutants and Suspended Solids. It is recommended that the management strategies presented in this report are incorporated into future detailed design and subsequent construction. While variations to the concepts are allowed, the design objectives are to be maintained. SITE BASED STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN – Revision B 36 & 38 DUKE STREET, SUNSHINE BEACH P a g e | 14
